You Gotta Have Heart

Aaron Navarro
On Friday, May 29 in the Norbeck Room of Clubhouse II, Aaron Navarro, frequent lecturer and researcher, will delve into the inner workings of the human heart. The heart, the main organ in your cardiovascular system, is vital for life. Its parts work together to move blood through your body in a coordinated way. It constantly sends oxygen to your cells and takes away waste. Many conditions can affect this organ and keep it from working well.
Navarro will discuss the heart’s functions, structure, health, and much more. He will also present the latest advances in cardiovascular research and disorder treatments and prevention. Additionally, Navarro will talk about the pioneering work of Drs. DeBakey and Barnard, and the role of the heart in ancient and contemporary cultures.
Get ready to go on an amazing journey, destination the heart, sponsored by the Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL).
