Try Acupressure for Relief of Health Problems

Learn how to use acupressure to relieve many physical symptoms in a workshop at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 4 in the Clubhouse II Norbeck Room. Acupressure, a traditional Chinese medical technique, involves applying physical pressure to specific body points to stimulate the flow of energy (QI) and encourage healing. This involves no needles and can be self-administered using fingers, knuckles, or tools like bands.
Recent studies from JAMA Network Open confirm that self-acupressure significantly reduces knee osteoarthritis pain and restores mobility in seniors.
The instructor, Yun Brown, L. Ac (Licensed Acupuncturist) will demonstrate how acupressure works as a safe, non-invasive alternative to pharmaceuticals, and is specifically designed to avoid the side effects of pain medications.
Brown has three decades of clinical experience and a 2026 mission to make traditional healing accessible, safe, and effective for seniors.
Residents are asked to register and pay the $5 fee on the CLL website, (cllmd.com). Residents unable to access the website may register and pay the $5 fee beginning April 21 by calling or going to the Lifestyle office of either clubhouse.
