Sheldon Lehner shares an extensive look at The Beatles through the eyes and writings of Paul McCartney on Tuesday, April 14 starting at 2 p.m. in the Clubhouse 2 Auditorium.
Lehner explores the life of Paul as revealed in a book written by McCartney and Paul Muldoon, “Paul McCartney – The Lyrics.” The two-volume publication has first-person commentary on 154 songs written by Paul in the book, illustrating the literary and personal influences behind them.
Special people in Paul’s life will also be profiled, including his mother Mary, whom he lost when he was only fourteen years old. McCartney had said he has not yet written an autobiography because he did not keep a diary. However, he continued, “What I do have are my songs, hundreds of them, which I’ve learned serve much the same purpose. And these songs span my entire life.”
