Living your Best Life: Aging with Purpose and Confidence

February 27 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
$5.00

Nancy Carlson, Ph.D., OTR/L

Aging brings change—but it also brings opportunity.  The Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL) is sponsoring an engaging presentation designed to support older adults in embracing this stage of life with clarity, resilience, and optimism.

On Friday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. in Clubhouse II Norbeck Room, Nancy Carlson, Ph.D., will lead an interactive session inviting participants to reflect on what truly matters most while growing older, and to explore practical, evidence-informed strategies for maintaining independence, well-being, and a strong sense of purpose.

Dr. Carlson will work with participants to reframe aging as a time of continued growth—physically, emotionally, and socially.  The session will explore the importance of meaningful routines and social connection, strategies for maintaining balance, mobility, and daily function, tools for adapting to physical and mental changes, and simple habits that support mental wellness, self-confidence, and overall quality of life.

The presentation is designed to be approachable and conversational, with real-life examples, practical take-home ideas, and time for questions.

Whether navigating new transitions, looking to stay proactive about health, or simply seeking inspiration for this chapter of life, this session offers encouragement and practical guidance. Participants will leave feeling informed, empowered, and reminded that aging is not about limitation—it’s about living fully, with intention and confidence.
